I’m an ordinary mom from Cape Town, with a not so ordinary obsession with all things creative. This little blog is filled with all my creative adventures and I hope you will join me as we create some beautiful things together.

Welcome to Nwabisa’s Little Things! If you’re wondering how this blog got its name… many, many years ago I volunteered for an NGO, doing community development work in rural parts of the Eastern Cape. It was here that I got my Xhosa name, Nwabisa. It means someone who is happy and makes others happy. It is a name I am proud to be called and a name I try to live up to everyday.

I have always been a creative person, I love to create in whatever form I can, from upcycling things you would typically throw away to create home decor items, creating one of a kind play toys for my daughter, party planning and even printing my own t-shirts . Since as long as I can remember, I’ve been signing all my creative projects ‘Nwabisa’s little things’ because I find so much happiness in the process of creating and I hope what I’ve made will bring some happiness to others too.

This little blog, will be filled with all my creative ideas & projects and I hope you enjoy reading about it and recreating some of them as much as I enjoy sharing them with you. My sincere hope is that all these little things that I enjoy making so much, little things that have brought so much happiness into my life, brings a little happiness and creative inspiration into yours.
